Hi All,
I just realized that when you click on the individual pictures they get really big.

My Last Trip Into The Mountains
I leave for home tonight, one hour after midnight, 9/6/08.
Yesterday, I made my last trip (this trip) into the mountains.
Hatcher Pass was closed because of snow when I was here in April, 2008, but not yesterday.
I have had a wonderful time.
An experience of a lifetime.

My photos can never convey what my eyes have seen.
An indescribable kaleidoscope of color and texture.
There is no way to describe the vistas, mountains, valleys, glaciers, colors, the rugged wilderness, so diverse, so dazzling, photos and words, can just not impart.
I have had a wonderful time.
An experience of a lifetime.

Wasilla, Alaska
OK, What you all have been asking about....
Wasilla, home of Sarah Palin.
Wasilla, a small town spread out and growing.
It has Wa-Mart and Target it due to open in October.
Above, a perfect post card picture, one I wish I could have taken.
Dorothy Page Museum & Hstoric
Old Wasilla, about a square block of historical buildings and the Library.
Wasilla Museum, very worth, a look see.
The people friendly.
I went through and took some pictures.
Don't be surprised if it looks familiar, Wasilla, could be anytown USA, 2008.

Friday, August 29. I was lucky to stay in an RV, (rather than a hotel in the woods) right on the waters edge. It was great, campfires, 2 cruise ships pulled out and did a 180 right in front of the camp site. My thoughts keep wandering back to what Captain Josh said., as we pulled out of Seward
"see those old pilings? they're left from the earthquake and tsunami in 1964". "Do you know what Seward's first line of defense when there's another Tsunami?
All those RVs along the waterfront" *Big Smile*
